About the Book
In the 3rd century A.D., Nicholas was born to wealthy parents of strong Christian faith. When tragedy struck his family as a young lad, he felt called by God to take a vow of poverty and he cheerfully gave his fortune away to the poor, sick and suffering.
Persecuted for his religious faith, Nicholas was almost killed. It was because of his strong faith, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit filling him with loving generosity, that Nicholas overcame trials and led him to become one of the most beloved and famous men in history. Today he is known all around the world as … Santa Claus!
This novel is inspired by his true story...
Gospel means “good news.” We can all use some good news, right? Well who better to get good news from than Santa Claus!
The Gospel of Santa Claus is what I call "a novel for the whole family" that will cause each of us to reflect on the true reason for the season of Christmas! It will enlighten all - that Santa Claus is a real person, who he is, and what his purpose is - through an intriguing, historical fiction story that includes life lessons and devotions. By learning more about good 'ol St. Nick, Christmas will become more meaningful for you and your whole family.
Though jolly, this novel can be thought provoking. It touches upon significant life themes, such as belief/unbelief, life/death, Heaven/hell, love/hate, giving/greed, freewill/consequences, humility/pride, joy/sadness, prayer, money, purpose, and so much more!
The Gospel of Santa Claus inspires with simple spiritual truths, which will facilitate robust conversations with young and old alike, and everyone in-between.
Be prepared for a roller coaster ride of emotions. Each chapter will surely make you pause and think. As you read - ask questions, seek answers, and knock on the door of revelation.
“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:8
This novel can be read any time of the year or over the 30 days before Christmas. My hope is that parents, grandparents, and others will read it with the young because it contains some adult concepts and content that will engage youth and children in meaningful conversations.
BONUS MATERIAL - Each chapter has an optional devotion for further reflection.
May you enjoy the read! Blessings!
